A cook job at Lucha doesn’t suck.
As someone who has worked every job in the restaurant business, I know how most kitchens operate with a hot, underpaid team working long hours. That’s not how I operate things in my kitchen.
It’s air-conditioned, we pay competitive wages, and we’re always finding ways to roll up our sleeves and help each other. You don’t have to believe me. Ask the people who started their careers with me and are still here.
Here’s what you can expect on a typical day:

  • Shifts start at either 9:00 am or around 4:00 pm. Show up in your uniform (t-shirt and jeans) and set up your station.
  • Constant motion - whether it’s prep, cleanup, or cooking. There’s always something to do in the kitchen.
  • Delivering delicious dishes consistently. We are preparing food at a relatively brisk pace while maintaining the specs and customer customizations that are set out to make sure the same food is made the same way every single time.
