Job Overview

Responsibilities 

  • Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
  • Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized dish area throughout each shift
  • Assist kitchen staff with basic prep tasks as needed
  • Remove trash and recycling while following proper safety procedures
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly
  • Keep kitchen surfaces, sinks, and storage areas clean and sanitized
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
  • Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties
  • Communicate effectively with chefs, cooks, and front-of-house staff
  • Help maintain a positive, team-oriented kitchen environment

Skills 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred but not require

Physical Requirement

  • Standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the shift
  • Ability to work around hot equipment, water, and cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to maintain a quick and steady pace during busy service periods
