About Us:
We are a premier event venue located in the heart of Manhattan, specializing in hosting memorable special events ranging from private parties and corporate gatherings to weddings and large social celebrations. We are looking for a dynamic and skilled part-time bartender to join our team for special events.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure guests have a positive experience.
- Take drink orders, mix and serve drinks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Manage bar inventory, including restocking and keeping the bar area organized and clean.
- Ensure compliance with all beverage regulations and safety guidelines.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service.
- Collaborate with event coordinators and staff to ensure seamless service during events.
- Handle cash, credit transactions, and maintain an accurate register balance throughout the event.
- Clean and sanitize bar equipment and utensils before and after each event.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down the bar area before and after events.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous Bartending Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a high-volume event or bar setting.
- Strong Mixology Skills: Knowledge of popular cocktails, wine, beer, and other beverages.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills: A friendly, outgoing attitude and the ability to work under pressure during busy events.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow specific recipes and guest preferences accurately.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Willingness to work as part of a team to ensure the event runs smoothly.
- Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple drink orders simultaneously while maintaining efficiency.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to engage with guests and collaborate with team members.
- TIPS/Alcohol Awareness Certification: Preferred, but not required.
- Must be at least 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
