Front of House (FOH) Team Member
Cross-Trained | Fast-Paced Bakery Environment
Position Summary
We are hiring Front of House (FOH) Team Members to join a fast-paced, high-standard bakery environment. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in professionalism, accuracy, teamwork, and learning multiple skills.
FOH Team Members are cross-trained professionals responsible for delivering excellent customer service while supporting smooth daily operations across the bakery when needed.
This is a team-first role for people who want to work hard, learn, grow, and have fun.
Pay & Compensation
- $11/hour base pay + tips
- Tips include cash and credit card tips
- Total weekly pay typically ranges from $500–$1,000+, depending on hours worked, performance, and tip volume
Performance Bonuses (Occasional)
- From time to time, when sales are strong, performance-based bonuses may be offered

Schedule & Availability
Shifts
- Morning: 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM (most in-demand)
- Afternoon: 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Availability Requirements
- Must be willing to work weekends
- Must be available for morning shifts to be considered for most openings
- Afternoon-only availability may be considered based on business needs
Hours & Flexibility
- Positions may be part-time or full-time
- Hours may vary week to week based on business demand
Some weeks ~30 hours
Other weeks ~40–45 hours - Most team members work 5 days per week, with 2 days off
- During high-volume or short-staffed periods, schedules may require 6 days per week
We aim for consistency, but flexibility is essential in a busy bakery environment.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Customer Service
- Greet customers promptly and professionally
- Provide fast, friendly, and respectful service
- Represent the bakery with a positive attitude
Order Taking & POS
- Accurately enter orders and modifiers into the POS
- Confirm orders with customers before payment
- Prevent mistakes through attention to detail
Payments
- Process cash, credit card, and mobile payments correctly
- Follow all cash-handling procedures
Order Assembly
- Prepare drinks, coffee, desserts, and packaged items
- Ensure orders are complete, accurate, and presented properly
Cleanliness & Organization
- Keep front-of-house areas clean, stocked, and organized
- Complete assigned cleaning and side work
Cross-Training & Team Support
- Assist with cooking, oven support, prep, cleaning, and restocking as needed
- Step in during rushes, staffing gaps, or when directed by leadership
- Support teammates to keep operations running smoothly

Language Requirements
- Basic Spanish is required
- Willingness to learn basic English for training purposes and to assist English-speaking customers
- Most customers and team communication are in Spanish, but some training materials and customer interactions may be in English
Previous bakery, coffee shop, or quick-service experience is a plus, but not required. We train the right people.

Important Note
This position requires flexibility, accountability, and teamwork. FOH Team Members are expected to support overall operations when needed. Individuals who prefer rigid roles or are unwilling to assist outside their primary station may not be a good fit.
