A line cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to Shellie’s recipes and menu specifications. This includes preparing ingredients, cooking food to order, plating dishes, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, preparing meats, and measuring ingredients.
  • Cook food according to recipes and menu specifications.
  • Plate dishes and ensure that they are presented in an attractive and appetizing manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including cleaning equipment and utensils, and disposing of waste.
  • Monitor food inventory and notify the kitchen manager when supplies are running low.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling and storage techniques.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are prepared and served in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager.
