Job Overview

We are seeking a few skilled and passionate Line Cooks to round out our kitchen team at the new River & Rail Tavern. The ideal candidates will have a background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in the restaurant industry, though experience is not required. As a Line Cook, you will play an important role in delivering quality meals to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of food safety.

Responsibilities 

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Work with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures
  • Ensure all food items are prepared with attention to detail and quality
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

Requirements

  • Experience in a restaurant culinary role, preferred but not required
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
