Do you have a passion for golf and are looking for a seasonal opportunity to develop your customer service skills while engaging with customers daily? We are looking for customer-oriented individuals to join our team for the 2025 golf season (~April to November). This individual will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our members and guests while overseeing the daily operations of the Pro Shop. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the customer service field and a great steppingstone for those looking to get into the golf industry.

Work Schedule:
Full-time and part-time positions available. This position is indoors. Evening and weekend availability may be required. Hours for the season vary based on time of year and are set based on sunrise and sunset.
Hired candidates will receive complimentary range balls, discounts on proshop merchandise, and food items. Discounted golf and cart rates for employees and their guests are also included as a benefit of the job. Some booking restrictions apply.
ProShop Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves customers by booking their tee-times and lessons, checking them in for their round, and providing merchandise support
  • Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues and concerns promptly and courteously.
  • Ensure the ProShop and surrounding areas remain tidy and always stocked, this includes but is not limited to;
  • Ensuring the doors and windows remain free of fingerprints.
  • Monitoring scorecard and pencil levels.
  • Keeping the ProShop counter clear of papers, returns, holds, etc.
  • Stocking the shelves in the shop when merchandise sells out.
  • Assists with inventory by notifying the Proshop Manager when we are low on supplies.
  • Processes sales transactions and payments, using POS in Lightspeed.
  • Maintain customer profiles for membership programs or loyalty initiatives.
  • Assist with tracking and processing returns or exchanges in compliance with the club's policies.
  • Creates awareness of special promotions, loyalty and raincheck programs.
  • Monitor Back Shop Attendants and Rangers throughout their shift.
  • Merchandise stock with direction from the ProShop Manager.
  • Responds to customer queries and directs them to various department heads when necessary.
  • Create promotional material with direction from the ProShop Manager.

ProShop Attendant Qualifications/ Skills:

  • Experience with Lightspeed Retail, Chronogolf and Squarespace is an asset
  • Dependability
  • Excellent verbal communication (English essential, French is an asset)
  • Ability to multitask
  • Basic customer service experience
  • Motivated and willing to take initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to complete tasks without constant supervision
  • Knowledge in Outlook, Excel
  • Experience working with a Point of Sale system is an asset
  • Basic understanding of golf equipment and apparel is an asset. Willingness to learn about products and golf-related terminology
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 pounds as needed

Requirements:

  • 1+ year in a customer service role (high volume retail experience is an asset)
  • Applicants must have reliable transportation as public transportation is not available in the area.
