Position Overview

As a Keyholder, you are a trusted team leader responsible for supporting daily store operations and maintaining Kilwins’ high standards of service and cleanliness. You will assist with opening and closing procedures, lead and support staff during shifts, and ensure every guest receives outstanding service in a fun and positive atmosphere.

Pay

  • $13-$16/hour (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Store Leadership
    Open and close the store following all procedures, including security, cash handling, and daily checklists.
    Supervise and support team members during your shift to ensure smooth store operations.
    Serve as the acting manager when the Store Manager or Assistant Manager is not present.
  • Guest Experience
    Provide exceptional, friendly customer service that reflects Kilwins' values.
    Share product knowledge and samples to help guests find their favorites.
    Ensure all team members are engaged, welcoming, and attentive to guest needs.
  • Operations & Sales
    Accurately operate the POS system, handle cash and credit transactions, and reconcile registers at the end of shifts.
    Maintain clean, well-stocked displays and monitor inventory levels.
    Assist in receiving and organizing shipments, prepping products, and ensuring freshness.
  • Cleanliness & Food Safety
    Uphold food safety standards and maintain a clean, sanitary work environment.
    Follow all health codes and company procedures in preparing and serving food products.
    Keep the store clean and organized, including customer areas, prep areas, and storage.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in retail, food service, or hospitality (keyholder/lead role preferred)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow and enforce procedures
  • Enthusiastic, customer-focused, and team-oriented
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
