Job Overview

Starting pay is based on age and follows Michigan's minimum wage laws:

  • Ages 16–17: $11.67 per hour (Michigan youth minimum wage)
  • Ages 18 and older: $13.73 per hour

Pay rates are subject to change in accordance with state minimum wage requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude
  • Take customer orders for ice cream, snacks, and simple food items
  • Prepare and serve ice cream treats, hot dogs, nachos, and other ready-to-go menu items
  • Operate the cash register and process customer payments
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked work area
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Work as part of a team to provide excellent customer service

Skills

  • Friendly and willingness to communicate with customers
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change
  • Dependable, responsible, and willing to learn
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting
