Job Overview

Jukes Ale Works is looking for an individual who is driven by cleanliness and can maintain the cleanliness of our restaurant. We are looking for a high energy individual who can help assist multiple positions while maintaining the dish area of the kitchen. Our dish washers will need to be able to work on their feet for long hours, carry heavy bus tubs of dishes, wash all dishes (whether by hand or through the dish machine) and assist the line cooks with stocking product and/or rotating empty pans.

Responsibilities

  • Collect used kitchenware from all dining and prep areas
  • Load dirty dishes in the dish machine, unload and put away dishes when clean in the proper spots of the restaurant/kitchen
  • Wash specific items by hand (knives, large pots, delicate china etc)
  • Assist the line cooks with stocking product and rotating dirty pans
  • Ensure the dish machine is operating normally and promptly report any technical/performance issues to the head chef/management team
  • Remove garbage regulary
  • Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor, on a regular/nightly basis

Skills / Requirements

  • Work experience as a dishwasher (1 year preferred, training is provided)
  • Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed
  • Time management skills
  • Attention to detail and takes pride in a clean, sanitized work area
  • Available to work on nights and weekends
