COFFEE SHOP CASHIER/CUSTOMER SERVICE POSITION
Full-Time & Part-Time Positions Available
Hours: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM (varying shifts)
POSITION OVERVIEW
We're seeking friendly, detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Cashier/Customer Service Representatives. This role serves as the first point of contact for our customers and is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring efficient service.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service:
• Greet all customers with a warm, genuine welcome
• Take orders accurately and efficiently
• Answer questions about menu items, prices, and promotions
• Handle customer concerns professionally and promptly
• Maintain clean and organized customer areas
• Assist customers with loyalty program enrollment
• Process mobile orders and call-outs
• Package to-go orders accurately
Cash Handling & POS Operations:
• Process payments accurately (cash, credit, gift cards)
• Maintain accurate cash drawer
• Process refunds when authorized
• Handle daily opening/closing register procedures
• Reconcile daily sales and transactions
• Process mobile and online orders
• Manage gift card transactions
Operations:
• Stock cups, lids, napkins, and other service items
• Maintain clean and organized counter areas
• Monitor and restock retail merchandise
• Assist in inventory counts
• Keep food case stocked and presentable
• Maintain cleanliness of dining area
• Support baristas during peak periods
• Handle basic food preparation as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong math skills for cash handling
• Excellent communication abilities
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
• Basic computer skills
• Food Handler's Certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Strong multitasking abilities
• Reliable transportation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous cash handling experience
• Customer service experience
• Food service background
• POS system experience
• Basic coffee knowledge
• Experience in high-volume retail
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Standing/walking for entire shift
• Lifting up to 25 pounds
• Reaching and bending
• Working at counter height
• Manual dexterity for POS operation
