Job Overview

Sweet Bean is a new, Taiwanese all-day cafe in the South Loop neighborhood of Chicago situated next to the Roosevelt CTA Station. We are a fast casual restaurant focused on serving customers fresh, simple, high quality foods and beverages in a welcoming environment.

We are looking for friendly and personable foodies to lead our guest experience. If you love coffee and baked goods, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
• Provide excellent customer service, address any customer questions and concerns, and answer phone inquiries, all in an effective and timely manner.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of coffee, tea, and food items to customers (we'll teach you everything you'll need to know!).
• Check out customers efficiently using POS while packing pastries, baked goods, and other retail products presentably.
• Ensure bakery and retail space is properly stocked; maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized retail shopping environment
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensure accuracy of signs and pricing.

Compensation is hourly and based on your experience.

Preferred 1+ years of experience in customer service, but not required. Able to lift 40+ lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
