Job Overview

Responsibilities 

  • Operate the fryer station, preparing items according to Green Gables standards
  • Assist line cooks with prep, plating, and assembling dishes
  • Maintain proper cook times, oil quality, and food consistency
  • Keep fryer station clean, stocked, and organized throughout the shift
  • Monitor food quality, temperatures, and portioning
  • Communicate clearly with line cooks to keep tickets flowing smoothly
  • Assist with restocking, prep work, and ingredient rotation
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Support opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment

Skills 

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume environment
  • Strong attention to detail and timing (critical for fryer items)
  • Ability to follow directions and recipes consistently
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic understanding of kitchen safety and food handling
