Job Overview

ABOUT TURBO SPORTS AND PERFORMANCE CENTRE CORP.

Southern Georgian Bay has world-class athletes, serious movers, and a community that has always punched above its weight. What it has never had is a facility built to match it.

Turbo Sports and Performance Centre Corp. is that facility. Opening November 2026 at 140 Mountain Road, Collingwood, Turbo brings together a FIFA-certified indoor field, performance training, studio programming, and community events under one roof built for the people who live here year-round, not just the weekenders. We run on three things: Play. Train. Connect. The field. The gym. The community. This is not a rec centre and it is not a big-box gym. It is something this region has needed for a long time, and we are building it from scratch.

THE ROLE

This is not a maintenance-and-scheduling job. The Facility Operations Manager is the person who makes everything work, the one who sees what needs to happen before anyone asks, keeps the team sharp, and holds the standard when the room is full and when it is not.

You will join our founding team ahead of our November 2026 grand opening, reporting directly to the CEO and Founder. That means you are here for the build, not the handoff. You will shape how this facility runs, what it feels like to work here, and how we show up for every person who walks through the door. It is a big job and a real one and it is the right job for someone who wants to own something.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily facility operations across all spaces: FIFA-certified field, Performance Studio, Flex Studio, Functional Training Gym, and Mezzanine event space.
  • Uphold operational standards, cleanliness, safety protocols, and member experience benchmarks across all shifts and spaces.
  • Manage facility opening and closing procedures and ensure smooth shift handoffs across the 6 AM–midnight operating day.
  • Support the CEO in onboarding, scheduling, and day-to-day supervision of full-time, part-time and student staff.
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for facility issues, maintenance requests, and customer concerns during operational hours.
  • Coordinate with programming leads, instructors, and tenant partners to proactively resolve scheduling conflicts and operational gaps.
  • Oversee the Xplore/PerfectMind platform for facility booking, scheduling, and member management, in collaboration with our platform lead.
  • Support event logistics for community and corporate events held in the Mezzanine and field spaces.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with on-site retail vendors, customers and clients
  • Day to day support with CEO relative to business needs
  • Prepare operational reports and surface trends, capacity issues, or resource gaps to the CEO on a regular basis.
  • Directly support and provide guidance to the League and Program Coordinator.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 2–4 years in facility operations, recreation management, hospitality, or something close enough that you know what running a building actually means.
  • You know how to manage relationships with staff, members, partners, and the occasional problem that shows up unannounced.
  • Highly organized and calm under pressure. A startup environment is not chaos to you; it is an opportunity.
  • Flexibility to rotate across morning, day, and evening shifts, seven days a week. This is not a 9-to-5 and the right person will not want it to be.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Experience with recreation management software (e.g., PerfectMind/Xplore) is a strong asset; we will train the right person.
  • A background in sport, athletics, or community recreation helps you understand what we are building and why it matters.
  • You do not wait to be told. You see the gap and you close it.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Competitive salary of $70,000–$75,000 annually.
  • Performance bonus eligibility begins in Year 2, tied to facility growth milestones.
  • 3 weeks paid vacation annually.
  • A founding-team role you will have real ownership over systems, culture, and the way this facility runs.
  • Structured mentorship and genuine growth trajectory; as Turbo scales, so does this role.
  • Staff access to the facility across training, classes, programming and membership benefits
  • Free gym membership for you and your familiy to the facility which includes access to drop in sports, classes and open gym
  • A free sport registration slot for your choice of sport each season
  • 15% off of apparel and merchandise (Turbo only), including family and friend’s discounts
  • A team that works hard and takes the work seriously and makes time for the moments that matter, from team events to celebrating the wins.
