PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Lift, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs on frequent basis.
· Stand for long periods of time.
· Work both indoors and outdoors, exposed to a variety of weather conditions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
· Prepare food from standardized recipes showing proper use of basic kitchen equipment.
· Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.
· Assemble food quickly in a fast-paced environment.
· Prepare, maintain, and store foods following proper food handling guidelines.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Follow prep lists prepared by chefs to plan daily duties.
· Prepare cooking ingredients and undertake basic cooking duties.
· Demonstrate proper cleanliness standards and organization including safe use of cleaning chemicals.
· Ability to display proper and safe knife handling techniques.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the leadership team based on business needs.
· Work a flexible schedule/hours based on business needs, to include opening, middle, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
· Follow company and department policies and procedures.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Must be able to pass food safety class within 30 days.
· 1-year cooking experience in a high-volume culinary location preferred, but willing to train a motivated and coachable candidate.
· Strong attention to detail.
