Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly upon arrival
  • Take drink orders and answer questions
  • Check identification of customers to verify age
  • Clean and maintain bar area
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • Be willing to receive alcohol training
  • Open,maintain, and close customer tabs using the company’s Menu and Point of Sale systems.
  • organize and restock merchandise.
  • Interact with guests upon departure, including thanking them and ensuring they enjoyed their experience.
  • Close operations of the taproom following established protocols. This includes completing final cleaning processes, completing final paperwork, ensuring financial transactions are closed out, equipment is secure, all doors are locked, etc.
  • Assess guest behaviors relating to over-service or interfering with the experience of other guests and take necessary actions learned in training. This could include cutting off service from a guest, asking a guest to leave the premises, etc.
  • Be familiar with protocols and procedures if emergencies or safety issues occur.
  • Follow all policies and procedures identified in the Employee Handbook and provided in training.
  • Interact with and support other team members.
  • Inquire with guests about their experience and if other products/services are needed.
  • Resolve product or service issues by clarifying guest’s needs, determining the cause of the issue, identifying a solution to the issue, and effectively resolving the issue.
  • Restock bar and cold room with products. Notify management of low stock quantity, if applicable.
  • Change kegs when existing kegs are empty. Follow necessary protocols in changing kegs.

Skills

  • Previous experience as a bartender or server
  • Must be 21
  • Knowledge of craft beer a plus
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to start and maintain conversations with all guests
  • Flexible/able to work different shifts
  • Ability to provide effective experiences to guests
  • Ability to be open minded and accept opinions and feedback from others
