Restaurant Server Job Description:

We are looking for EXPERIENCED Restaurant Servers.
Must possess, or be able to obtain upon employment, current valid Louisiana liquor license.

Being a server is more than just taking and delivering orders. You must be a considerate team member, think quick on your feet, and have the best interest of the restaurant, team, and customer at all times.

Our goal is to consistently deliver exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a high-volume sushi restaurant. You should be punctual, reliable, an excellent listener and a fast learner.

Servers must be educated about the menu and ingredients, suggesting dishes and food and drink pairings that will excite and delight our customers time and time again.

We work together to create a clean, safe, welcoming environment for our guests.

Duties and Responsibilities Include But are Not Limited To:

  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Take direction from management and staff in charge of training. Follow instructions, implement performance improvement suggestions, and continually strive for excellence in all areas of responsibility.
  • Patience -- Be the calm in the storm - Work well under pressure
  • Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
  • Attend to customers upon entrance to the restaurant
  • Present menus, serving and helping customers select food/beverages
  • Clean, sanitize and re-stock condiments
  • Sweep under tables
  • Clean and restock restrooms
  • Prepare teas, coffee, and boba tea, edammame and ice cream desserts.
  • Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
  • Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen staff
  • Adhere to company policy at all times. Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude in a polite and professional manner.
  • Exhibit professionalism at all times. Bring issues or concerns to management at the appropriate time and place to solve. Do not complain. On the floor. To yourself. To each other. About customers. To customers. EVER.
  • Serve alcohol.
  • Bus, clean, and reset tables
  • Place to-go orders
  • Prep or side work
  • Prepare bill and process payment
  • Cleaning duties such as stocking, sanitizing, sweeping floors, washing tea kettles
  • Reconciling daily cash transactions
