Job Overview
The Golden Hog is a gourmet market that provides a unique experience for customers regarding the high quality and special selection of products in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Our Cashiers are the face of the market. They are the first-people customers see when they arrive and the last when they leave. Cashiers are expected to provide exceptional customer service, as well as fast, friendly, and accurate check out services for our customers using computerized cash register systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Exercise good public and customer relations skills at all times. Take initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
- Operate a cash register, proceeding check outs and making changes. Look for the Manager on duty for any questions.
- Address all customers quickly with a smile and positive attitude. Ask them "Have you found everything you were looking for?"," Thank you for shopping with us!".
- Bag customers' orders and help shoppers find items in the store.
- Take "return" products back to proper shelf locations.
- Support the Grocery Department pricing products and stocking shelves as needed.
- Keep work area clean at all times.
- Inform any customer complaints or special requests to the Manager on duty.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Skills & Requirements: - Accuracy and basic math skills
- Ability to memorize product identification codes
- Communication skills / English and Spanish speaker (preferred)
