Job Overview

Event Crewmember has the opportunity to earn additional income by assisting with event setups and teardowns per the event schedule

Responsibilities

  • Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment without losing sight of quality
  • Report to work on time as indicated on the daily schedule
  • Learn inventory and pull sheets to successfully fill event orders
  • Clean and sweep warehouse to ensure the workspace is organized, safe and free from obstacles and debris
  • Assist with loading vehicles, safely transporting rental items to their destination, unloading and installing items per the event master sheet
  • Assist with event setup which might include installing tents, setting tables, chairs, bars, lighting, furniture, props, drape, tabletop decor and other similar inventory items per the Event Master sheet
  • Assist with event teardowns and unloading trucks at the warehouse
  • Check the quality and quantity of return items and successfully put it back in the correct location
  • Report any problems or discrepancies to the Rental Manager
  • Follow all company and safety policies and procedures
  • Preserve a clean and pressed uniform while keeping a professional appearance at all times

Qualifications and Physical Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is desirable
  • Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends during the peak season of May - October
  • Positive attitude and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow verbal directions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Must be able to tolerate cold, heat and humid conditions while sometimes walking on uneven or wet surfaces
  • Ability to walk 30% of the work shift
  • May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles and chemicals throughout the work shift
  • Ability to perform moderate physical work. May be required to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance, up to 40 pounds frequently performing such activities while standing, walking, lifting for up to five hours without sitting
