Job Overview

Job Purpose

  • Assistant to the bartenders; versed in all recipe management, prep, set-up and on-going bar operations before, during and after bar service.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up, break down & organize the bar
  • Keep bar neat and clean before, during and after service
  • Manage recipes; prep items
  • Rotate bar stock
  • Organize the liquor rooms, beer stock; receive incoming bar deliveries
  • Sanitize the bar floors and equipment to health department standards
  • Perform weekly bar deep-clean; perform bottle recycling weekly
  • Clean bar menus
  • Clean out beverage coolers; clean sinks
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly sanitation schedules
  • Complete necessary prep work prior to service and complete necessary side work after service
  • Follow New York State Liquor Authority and beverage service related laws
  • Follow Suffolk County Department of Health Food and Beverage service laws and regulations
  • Any other customary, ordinary and reasonable duties normally associated with this job position

Physical Requirement

  • Have no medical conditions or physical limitations that would prevent you from standing on your feet for long periods of time and/or lifting heavy objects of 40 pounds or less.
  • Stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Tall enough to reach the overhead glass rack
