Responsibilities 

  • Lead and support daily operations of the café, including opening and closing procedures, shift management, and customer service flow
  • Act as a mentor and team leader, offering on-the-floor coaching, support, and accountability to baristas and other team members
  • Model excellent hospitality by engaging customers warmly and resolving any concerns with care and professionalism
  • Ensure product quality and consistency, including overseeing espresso preparation, drink accuracy, and cleanliness standards
  • Manage inventory by tracking usage, placing orders, and minimizing waste through thoughtful systems and communication
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members, ensuring they understand and embody our values and service standards
  • Contribute to team culture by promoting open communication, recognizing great work, and helping resolve interpersonal challenges constructively
  • Help implement systems and procedures that improve efficiency, safety, and consistency without compromising the guest experience

Qualifications 

  • At least 2+ years in food service
  • An approachable people-person with a high level of emotional intelligence, patience, compassion and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for coffee, operations, and community
  • Previous experience in a management role
