Job Overview

Lennon's (located at 16 West Jefferson Avenue in Naperville, IL) is seeking an energetic, hospitality-driven Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences and guide guests through our globally inspired menu.
Position Overview
As a Server, you are the primary face of Lennon's. You will create welcoming moments, share deep product knowledge of our food and beverage programs, and orchestrate a seamless dining pace for every table.
Key Responsibilities

• Guest Engagement: Greet guests warmly, accurately explain menu concepts, and confidently provide curated food and beverage pairings.
• Order Management: Take accurate food and drink orders, input them efficiently into the POS system, and communicate dietary restrictions clearly to the kitchen.
• Table Service: Deliver dishes and drinks promptly, monitor guest needs proactively, and maintain tabletop cleanliness throughout the meal.
• Financial Transactions: Print accurate guest checks, process cash and card payments securely, and manage your daily cash out.
• Team Collaboration: Complete opening, running, and closing sidework while supporting fellow team members to ensure smooth floor operations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of casual fine dining or high-volume serving experience preferred.
• Product Knowledge: Strong interest in food, wine, and craft cocktails; ability to memorize ingredients and flavor profiles quickly.
• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm and positive under pressure.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for long periods and carry heavy service trays (up to 30 lbs).
• Compliance: Must hold or be willing to obtain required local food handler and alcohol service certifications (e.g., BASSET).
