Responsibilities
- Prepares ingredients (washing, chopping, slicing) and cooks food to order using various equipment (grill, oven, fryer) according to recipes and in a professional kitchen.
- Sets up, stocks, and cleans their assigned station (e.g., sauté, grill, pantry) before, during, and after service.
- Ensures consistent food quality, proper plating, correct portioning, and strict adherence to sanitation and food handling regulations.
- Communicates effectively with the Chef, GM and other cooks to ensure timely, synchronized food delivery.
- Monitors stock levels and reports shortages to management.
Skills
- Proven experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar role.
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to stand for long hours and work in a high-temperature, fast-paced environment.
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Food Safety Certification Required
