Responsibilities

  • Prepares ingredients (washing, chopping, slicing) and cooks food to order using various equipment (grill, oven, fryer) according to recipes and in a professional kitchen.
  • Sets up, stocks, and cleans their assigned station (e.g., sauté, grill, pantry) before, during, and after service.
  • Ensures consistent food quality, proper plating, correct portioning, and strict adherence to sanitation and food handling regulations.
  • Communicates effectively with the Chef, GM and other cooks to ensure timely, synchronized food delivery.
  • Monitors stock levels and reports shortages to management.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar role.
  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Ability to stand for long hours and work in a high-temperature, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Food Safety Certification Required
