Based on your prior experience as Sous Chef of other high-volume, highly visible properties, you know that your success and the success of the business rely on your ability assist the executive Chef to build best-in-class menus, best-in-class culture, best-in-class teams, best-in-class systems and deliver best-in-class service day in and day out. Fortunately, you know you are a leader first and a Chef second. You've come prepared with the tools of the trade; a hawk eye for detail, a cartographer's understanding of creative problem solving and goal setting. And of course, a full pack of communication skills and servant leadership.
History of Ladybird: Founded in 2014 by restaurateur Michael Lennox and located at Mile Marker 9.25 with over 7,000 square feet of outdoor space overlooking the Atlanta Beltline Eastside Trail, Ladybird is Atlanta’s signature Beltline destination and base camp for urban explorers. With a National Park-inspired concept, multiple bars, 300+ seats indoors and outdoors and award-winning patio, Ladybird offers elevated campfire-inspired cuisine for lunch, brunch and dinner, and focuses on shareable dishes that rotate based on local availability. The beverage program features craft cocktails, wine, and an extensive selection of Georgia-based craft beers on tap.
Position Summary
Directs food preparation and collaborates with the executive chef. Helps in the design of food and drink menus. Produces high quality plates, including both design and taste. Oversees and supervises kitchen staff. Assists with menu planning, inventory, and management of supplies.
Job Duties
- Possess strong leadership, communication, organization and relationship skills
- Well versed in the beauty and execution of fantastic BBQ
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Acute attention to detail in fast paced environment
- Capable of producing a consistent product in a timely manner
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Effective communication with people at all levels and from various backgrounds; bi-lingual in Spanish a plus
- Pit master/BBQ cookery preferred
Education/ Experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Minimum of 3 year experience
