About Us:
Family Friendly Sports Bar and Grill, a restaurant and bar specializing in homemade pizza's, wings, burgers, sandwiches, smoked foods and specializing in bringing the tailgating food expereience to your plate in a new way . We pride ourselves in serving quality fresh local foods in a fun and cool atmosphere. *Position* We are looking for an experienced Cook to assist the kitchen team in their daily duties. The Kitchen candidate must possess a strong knowledge of our menu and recipes and play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction. *Key Responsibilities* · Adhering to all food handling and health & safety procedures · Maintain a clean and sanitize kitchen and back of house including washing tableware, kitchen tools, etc. · Plating food · Food preparation (i.e. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, etc.) - Disposing of waste & recycling · Opening and closing duties as required · Other duties as assigned *Qualifications & Experience* · Previous experience working in a busy kitchen · Familiarity with pizza cuisine is an asset - Thorough understanding of safe food handling · Demonstrates a high level of self-discipline in work habits and work quality *· Must be available Thursday Friday, Saturday and Sunday* *Skills* · Positive attitude and respectful demeanour · Dependable, hard-working and disciplined · Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task *Physical Requirements* · Ability to stand for extended periods · Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment · Available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays · Working in a kitchen environment · Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 50lb
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Wage depemdent on experience

line/prep cook: 1 year (preferred) * Food Handler Certification, Work indipendently and as a team.

Responsibilities

  • Memorizing recipes, policies, procedures, and standard portion sizes
  • Preparing ingredients and components of each recipe on the restaurant’s menu
  • Maintaining freshness of product and rotating old product out
  • Working with a team of Cooks to handle varying levels of activity
  • Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe workspace at all times to avoid contamination
  • Being aware of and following all kitchen health and safety regulations and guidelines
