Jag's Steak and Seafood is seeking a detail-oriented, highly motivated, and well-spoken Professional Server to join our awesome team!

Responsibilities:

  • Create a memorable positive experience for our guests with smooth and efficient execution of service
  • Clean and prepare the dining areas
  • Greet and make all guests feel welcome
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely fashion
  • Clear and reset tables
  • Communicate food allergies or dietary accommodations
  • Learn food and beverage specs of restaurant items
  • Promptly and politely address guest complaints and notify management
  • Opening, running, and closing side work as specified
  • Eloquently suggest and upsell menu items to guests to make their dining experience memorable
  • Exhibit a guest first and team-oriented attitude at all times
  • Responsible service of alcohol
  • Attend ongoing training meetings

​Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in restaurants and fine dining, bartending is a plus
  • Ability to build rapport with guests with strong customer service skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, stay organized and work well under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits
  • Must be a team-player willing to go above and beyond and demonstrate a passion for the service industry
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to stand, bend and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to 8 hours, and lift and carry up to 30lbs
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends with 4pm arrival T-F, and 3pm Saturdays
  • Flexibility with additional seasonal and holiday hours

Skills

  • Miniumum 5 years serving experience (fine dining preferred)
  • Knowledge of wine and spirits
  • Excellent teamwork with coworkers

  • Agility to work in a fast paced and changing environment
