Tavern on the Wharf is looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team as a Kitchen Utility/Food Prep. This role is focused on maintaining an efficient work environment by cleaning equipment, prepping ingredients, and supporting general cleanliness in the facility.
Duties
Equipment Washing: Clean and sanitize large smallware such as stainless-steel sheet pans, mixing bowls, trays, and utensils per company procedures
 General Cleaning Duties:

  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Sanitize worktables and prep surfaces
  • Clean and restock staff bathroom
  • Remove and properly dispose of trash and recyclables

 Assist front-of-house operations as needed, supporting service during peak hours, and maintaining a clean and organized customer-facing environment
 Follow proper sanitation and safety protocols at all times
Experience
 Must be at least 18 years of age
 Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
 Strong attention to cleanliness and safety
 Previous experience using commercial kitchen equipment (preferred but not required)
 Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
 Able to follow checklists and/or procedures
 Reliable, punctual, and attentive to detail
Physical Demands and Work Environment
 Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods during the shift
 Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
 Regular use of hands to handle, wash, and move baking equipment
 Ability to bend, reach, and carry cleaning supplies and materials
 Work may involve exposure to warm or humid conditions in the kitchen
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
