Bartender Responsibilities

  • Bartenders will be expected to follow the customer service standards we have at the Hot House Tavern
  • Able to learn both food and drink menus to be able to communicate effectively with customers
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing, high pressure environment
  • Able to accurately operate a Point Of Sales system
  • Able to comply with responsible alcohol service guidelines, including serving customers responsibly
  • Applicants must be able to work nights and weekends
  • Be able to work well with others and keep a positive mind set
  • Willing to go the extra mile to help a team member or customer in need
  • Perform opening and closing duties as expected
  • Be able to accurately answer questions about the menus or the restaurant itself, serve bar customers, efficiently, and correctly
  • Ability to quickly and efficiently make cocktails for both guests and servers while creating relationships with bar guests
  • Manage the overall look and feel of the bar,
  • Maintain a balanced cash drawer and collect closing servers cash checkouts
  • Perform Opening and Closing duties
  • Maintain a steady inventory system through use of Bevinco
  • Adhere to the Hot House Taverns safety and sanitation guidelines

Requirements

  • Must be able to work Sundays
  • Must be able to work both daytime and nighttime shifts weekdays, weekends and holidays
  • Must have above average organizational skills
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Must be able to work in fast-paced, high volume environment
  • Must be able to follow procedures and policies
  • Must be able to stand for 6 - 10 hours
