Join the opening team of Paris Baguette's newest bakery café in Alpharetta!
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to help lead our back-of-house operations. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new store opening, build a strong production team, and ensure every product meets Paris Baguette's high standards for quality, consistency, and food safety.
Please note: The Alpharetta location is currently under development. Training will be conducted at an existing Paris Baguette location prior to the store opening. Candidates must be available to travel to the training location during the onboarding period.
Position Summary
The Assistant Kitchen Manager supports the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily production, inventory management, food safety compliance, and team training. This role is responsible for maintaining product quality, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring efficient production workflows in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily kitchen operations and production schedules
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training kitchen team members
  • Ensure all products are prepared according to Paris Baguette recipes and standards
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health department compliance
  • Manage inventory levels, product rotation, and waste control
  • Receive and organize deliveries
  • Assist with ordering ingredients and supplies
  • Coach and develop team members to improve performance and productivity
  • Help create production plans based on sales forecasts and business needs
  • Monitor equipment functionality and report maintenance issues
  • Serve as acting Kitchen Manager when needed

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of bakery, kitchen, food production, or restaurant experience
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
  • Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
