Job Description:
As a Prep Cook at Junction 35, you will play a vital role in our kitchen operations, assisting in the preparation of high-quality dishes that delight our guests. You will work closely with our culinary team to ensure that all ingredients are prepped and ready for service, maintaining our standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and chop vegetables, meats, and other ingredients as directed by the head chef or sous chef.
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes, ensuring accuracy in portion sizes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas, following health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management, including checking stock levels and reporting shortages to management.
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation practices to ensure the safety and quality of food items.
- Assist in the assembly of dishes and plate presentations, as required.
- Support other kitchen staff in daily operations, including cleaning and restocking supplies.
- Participate in training and development to improve culinary skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a prep cook or in a similar role in a restaurant or kitchen setting preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
