Looking to add experienced LINE COOKS to our incredible team! Our restaurant, Bar Verona Washington Township, is in Washington Twp right off 27 mile and Van Dyke in Macomb County. We are an upscale restaurant that offers a robust menu included Italian staples, prime steaks, and fresh seafoods- all made from scratch with only the freshest ingredients. A minimum of two years previous cooking experience in a full-service restaurant is required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• A minimum of 2 years experience in upscale casual dining or an equivalent service environment required
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work neatly and stay organized
• Able to work in a team environment
• Knowledge of professional cooking techniques and knife handling
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling policies and procedures
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Able to work in a fast paced environment
• Must follow all safety and sanitation procedures
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions
• Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers and team members
Requirements:
• Must be a minimum of 18 years or older
• Must be eligible for employment in USA
• Must have previous experience preparing pasta and grill items in a professional setting
• Must have reliable transportation and strong attendance
