Housed in a historic 1938 art deco Greyhound Bus Terminal in Downtown Savannah, The Grey is helmed by chef Mashama Bailey. Inspired by the richness of the Low Country she creates dishes that are deep, layered and soulful in its flavors. The influences of the city’s port allow a focus on European wines, Atlantic Trade liquors and warm hospitality to provide a complete experience for our guest.

For Line Cooks

We are looking for special individuals who are career minded, goal oriented and hard working. Along with Chef Mashama Bailey, the team is led by our Chef de Cuisine Trevor Elliot who is dedicated to uphold the standards at the restaurant while providing cooks with the tools they will need for long lasting and exciting careers.

This position is expected to communicate with staff daily with questions about pars, recipes, and inventory. They are required to complete all list and maintain a clean workspace. Duties will include but are not limited to:

Food Prep
Station Prep
Building Prep
Building Maintenance
This position must be able to communicate effectively with management and fellow kitchen workers while remaining organized and professional. They must become familiar with all the daily operations of the kitchen.

Standards and Protocols

Handle challenges with a positive attitude
Ensures to uniform and grooming standards
Possess professional restaurant, kitchen and operational knowledge and experience
Adherence to the Dept. of Health sanitation and food handling guidelines
Develops and maintains working relationships with all departments, Pastry, Bread and FOH
Walk in maintenance
Complete allotted prep projects daily
Assist with unpacking and putting away daily deliveries
Anticipate weekly prep projects and understand how to prioritize them
Skills & Requirements

At least two years of experience
Team player with exceptional work ethic
An enthusiasm to learn and grow with us
Pro-active
Reliable, punctual, and honest
Schedule- AM, PM, Mid Shifts, and Weekends
