We are hiring for two Catering Liaisons, one to be stationed at each location._ _This position is on an as needed basis/casual basis and exact hours cannot be guaranteed, however an average of 10-15 hours a week can be expected. This role would be considered an additional role to your current responsibilities. You must be a current Luella’s employee and have approval from your General Manager to apply.
SUMMARY
The Catering Liaison will be fully trained in all of the responsibilities listed below. In this role you will provide overall support to the catering functions of the business and you will be fully cross trained as catering sales and event coordinator capable of booking catering sales and executing events. As a leader in the company you are responsible for maintaining the written cultural expectations of Luella’s and reinforcing this culture through example, and a personality of positive energy and fun every day.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As a leader, displays at all times a professional and positive attitude
  • Maintains business appearance in an exemplary fashion
  • Maintains a culture of constant ongoing training and continuous improvement
  • Is fully trained and certified as a catering salesperson, and can perform as the company catering salesperson when catering sales and event coordinator takes normal days off, or special vacations
  • Can execute catering deliveries as needed
  • Assists with answering the catering email and phone with a 24hr response time, in coordination with the Catering Sales & Event Coordinator
  • Recommends insights on improving catering execution at a store level
  • Plays an integral role in the overall growth of catering business
  • Engage with vendors, venues and catering guests
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of off-site catering storage spaces and all catering equipment
  • Assists with maintaining catering vehicle fleet in a like-new cleanliness and appearance and brings mechanical issues to the attention of the Area Manager at the time they are discovered
  • Supports the catering sales and event coordinator in administrative duties
  • Ensure completed accuracy on all catering orders leaving the store
  • Acts as a liaison between the store and the catering sales and event coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess at least 90% of the following:

  • Demonstrated 2 years education and/or work experience in the areas of: hospitality management, sales, catering, food and beverage, or other similar fields
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills - oral and written
  • Adequate computer skills and more importantly, the ability to learn a new computer application quickly and follow the standards associated with it
  • Above average knowledge of food, craft beer, spirits and other finer things in life
  • Integrity, honesty, accountability, a passion for excellence and an incapability of making excuses for anything less than excellence
  • Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills
  • A natural surplus of hospitality extended to guests, team members and vendors no matter the circumstances
  • Involvement in the community
  • An unusually attentive focus on details and a compulsive desire to make even the smallest details perfect
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License
  • Above all, a desire to be the best

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, talk, and hear
  • The employee is required to be on foot for a large portion of the day/shift. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, or crouch; reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle or feel tools or controls; must be able to lift and/or move heavy objects including tables and cases of food and beverage; must be able to lift approximately 20 pounds overhead
  • When performing office functions, will be required to sit and work directly on a computer for several hours at time
  • Will be required to drive company vehicles
  • Must be able to sustain constant mental and visual attention
