Do you have a passion for events and are looking for a position to showcase your creativity? We are currently looking for an Event Coordinator to join our team on a 12-month maternity leave contract, with the potential for extension! The Event Coordinator would report directly to the Director of Golf and be responsible for coordinating outsourced events for over 100 people on a weekly basis. In addition to the outsourced events, the coordinator would be responsible for planning and executing in-house events and leagues. The perfect candidate would have exceptional customer service, excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt and solve problems in a timely manner.
Work Schedule:
Full-time position available. This position involves a mixture of indoor and outdoor working conditions. Evening and weekend availability will be required. Hours vary depending on the event schedule.
This position will be shared between two departments for a defined period: Pro Shop and Events. The successful candidate will work approximately 20 hours per week in the Pro Shop, assisting customers with tee-time bookings, check-ins, retail merchandise purchases and learning the back end of the point-of-sale software. For the remainder of their scheduled hours, they will support the Event Coordinator, gaining hands-on experience in event planning and execution to prepare for a smooth transition into a lead event role.
This hybrid structure will remain in place until December, at which point the candidate will take over a maternity leave contract, shifting their focus to Events with 70% or more of their time dedicated to event coordination through the 2026 season.

Event Coordinator Job Responsibilities:
- Responding to email and phone inquiries
- Work with event organizers to build online event pages, finalize setup requirements, and meet deadlines for head counts
- Aid with updating online event pages and providing reports to event organizers
- Assist with the day-of-coordination of all events
- Process and ring in all contracts the day of the event
- Communicate directly with organizers and provide them with the winning scores, proximity winners and any other related items they require
- Organize and facilitating in house events and leagues
- Identify and engage potential sponsors to secure event sponsorships
- Create advertisements for upcoming member and charity events
- Research various entertainment options for events and leagues
- Monitor and update the annual budgets for both in house leagues
Event Coordinator Qualifications/ Skills:
- Experience with Lightspeed Retail, Chronogolf and Squarespace is an asset
- Dependability
- Excellent verbal communication (English essential, French is an asset)
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent customer service experience
- Motivated and willingness to assist other departments as needed
- Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to complete tasks without constant supervision
- Knowledge in Outlook, Excel, Word
- Experience working with a Point of Sale system is an asset
- Basic understanding of golf is an asset.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 pounds as needed
Requirements:
- 1+ year in a customer service role (high volume retail experience is an asset)
- Applicants must have reliable transportation as public transportation is not available in the area.
Anticipated Start Date: August 5, 2025
Compensation: $18–$25/hour
