  • The Butchery position is designed to support, maintain and execute the standards of quality in butchery and meat cutting responsibilities. Butchery members are key members of the team as they are directly responsible for the preparation, production and operations in Yemeni meat dishes.

Role of a Butchery Employee:

  • Accurately complete all butchery and food orders to Monasaba standards
  • Accountable for supporting standards of cleanliness, timing, uniform, grooming, organization, production, food quality, and consistency
  • Be enthusiastic, energetic and demonstrate a genuine positive demeanor throughout the shift
  • Be professional and hospitable while promoting the Monasaba butchery brand
  • Possess a sincere attitude to be of service to others with a desire to succeed

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sharpen and adjust knives and cutting equipment
  • Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery
  • Cut, debone, or clean pieces of meat
  • Weigh, wrap, and display meat or meat products
  • Accountable for supporting standards of cleanliness, timing, uniform, grooming, organization, production, food quality, and consistency
  • Be enthusiastic, energetic and demonstrate a genuine positive demeanor throughout the shift
  • Clean equipment and work areas to maintain health and sanitation standards
  • Possess a sincere attitude to be of service to others with a desire to succeed

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to prioritize and stay organized in a high-paced environment
  • Minimum of 2-year butchery experience
  • Experienced in meat cutting machinery
  • Food Safety Certificate (Preferable)
  • Fluency in English both written and verbal
  • Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to carry and lift items weighing 50lbs
  • Must be able to stand and move for extended periods of time to continuously perform essential job functions
