ABOUT US:
Supino Pizzeria is a casual and approachable pizzeria, serving east coast style pizza in Detroit, Michigan. We use
local and organic products whenever possible and take pride in our scratch kitchen.
JOB SUMMARY:
We’re currently seeking a skilled and reliable line cook. The line cook is responsible for preparing menu items
efficiently, ensuring consistency, maintaining quality, and able to move with a sense of urgency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and portion guidelines
o Communicate respectfully with leaders on duty
o Speak clearly and communicate respectfully with kitchen team and front of house team
o Able to maintain a clean, sanitized and organized workstation
o Monitor food quality
o Initiative
o Able to set up, break down and stock workstations
o Knife Skills – cutting, dicing, and prepping ingredients
o Cross-training across multiple stations
o Work efficiently and quickly in a fast-paced environment
o Maintain a positive attitude
o Arrive to scheduled shifts on time
o Delivers great food
o Ensuring smooth operations by following protocols
o An understanding of food safety and proper food handling
o Flexible schedule
o Able to stand for long periods of time
QUALIFICATIONS:
o At least 1 year of experience in a busy kitchen
o An understanding of basic kitchen line operations
o Preferably serve-safe certified
