Responsibilities

  • Wash and load (dishes, silverware, glassware, etc.) into the dish machine or handwash items that cannot run through the machine
  • Dry, organize, and stock clean dishes and utensils in their proper places
  • Monitor chemical levels and temperatures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Clean the work area daily (mop, sweep, wipe walls, etc.) and monitor/dispose of kitchen waste
  • Assist with any other tasks as requested by Kitchen Management

Skills

  • Attention to detail is key to ensure all dishes and utensils are thoroughly and properly cleaned, and that chemicals stay full and at the correct levels for proper sanitation
  • Speed and strong time management are a must to maintain adequate stock levels of dishes, glassware, and utensils to keep service flowing and guests happy
  • Adaptability and teamwork are essential to efficiently communicate with fellow kitchen staff, especially during high-volume times, to allow for seamless, high-quality service
