Job Overview

Responsibilities 

• Prepare and serve a variety of smoothies, acai bowls, toasts, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
• Operate POS systems such as Square POS to process transactions accurately
• Engage with customers warmly, providing excellent service and answering questions about menu items
• Handle, credit card transactions, and cash handling procedures efficiently and responsibly
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food preparation stations, seating areas, and equipment
• Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety
• Assist with food preparation and serving items as needed
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without sacrificing quality

Skills 

• Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies or cleaning equipment
• Experience in serving or retail environments is advantageous but not required
