Server / Barback – Weekends at The Tasting Room (Downtown SLC)

We’re hiring a Server/Barback to join our weekend service team at The Tasting Room, a wine-forward bar in downtown Salt Lake City. This is a part-time role that supports both bar and floor service—ideal for someone dependable, quick on their feet, and comfortable in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in a bar or restaurant setting (barbacking, bussing, serving, etc.)
  • Someone who takes initiative, communicates well, and works clean
  • A calm, team-focused presence—even when it’s busy
  • Current Utah Food Handler’s Permit and Alcohol Server Certification
  • Must be 21+ due to alcohol service

What the job includes:

  • Assisting with bar setup, restocking, and closing duties
  • Running drinks and food, clearing and resetting tables
  • Supporting bartenders during service (Polishing, dishes, ice, etc.)
  • Staying aware of the space and helping where it’s needed
  • Picking up wine knowledge and service systems along the way
