Bartender

Job Overview

We are looking for a professional, experienced bartender with exceptional communication skills to serve classic cocktails, fine wine, craft beer and exceptional coffee to our guests. We take our espresso just as seriously as our spirits. The bartender will greet our guests, learn about their preferences, be resourceful in answering questions from guests and service team, and prepare and serve beverages and food with proficiency in a high-volume dining room.
You have sales acumen with an ability to upsell respectfully.You are observant and knowledgeable. You have a neat appearance and engaging personality, refined etiquette and integrity. You are enthusiastic about supporting top notch producers, sharing their stories and creating community.
Responsibilities include:
Working collaboratively with a bar team committed to excellence and building a solid reputation.
Planning creative drink menus and ability to accurately describe our food and drink offerings and features in detail.
Skill with knives and preparing attractive garnishes.
Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure the bar runs smoothly.Interest in learning and opportunities to take on additional responsibilities.
Adhering to best practice in food safety and quality regulations, maintaining an immaculately clean bar.
Bondable and experienced in handling cash, credit, debit and gift card transactions.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
Responsible Service BC certification or out-of-province equivalent
Keen to pursue education, training, certificates, and other relevant experience.
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Math and computer skills, savvy with various tech systems and devices.
Strong task and time management abilities, the ability to work and talk.
Eye for detail and desire to exceed colleague and guest expectations.
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
