Our VFW Post in Spring Grove, PA is seeking dependable, friendly bartenders to serve our veterans, members, and guests. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people and can provide attentive service in a welcoming, community-focused environment.
Responsibilities

  • Take and accurately process food and drink orders.
  • Prepare and serve mixed drinks, beer, wine, and nonalcoholic beverages.
  • Coordinate food orders with kitchen staff.
  • Handle payments, operate the register, and balance receipts.
  • Keep the bar and service areas clean, organized, and stocked.
  • Follow responsible alcohol service practices, including checking member identification.
  • Follow Post policies and assist with small games of chance recordkeeping and reporting, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must hold current Pennsylvania RAMP server/seller certification (will be provided if not current).
  • Must be able to prepare common mixed drinks.
  • Must be comfortable taking both food and beverage orders.
  • Knowledge of Pennsylvania small games of chance rules, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements is preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and cash-handling skills.
  • Dependable attendance and a professional, respectful attitude.
  • Previous bartending or food service experience preferred.

We are willing to train candidates that may not have the required skills or those who may have been out of the industry for awhile.
