League and Program Coordinator
Turbo Sports and Performance Centre Corp
140 Mountain Rd, Collingwood, ON L9Y 3Z9, CanadaJob Overview
ABOUT THE ROLE
Leagues do not run themselves. Behind every game night is someone who built the schedule, confirmed the teams, handled the thing that went sideways at 7:45 PM, and made sure it all felt seamless. That is you.
As our League and Program Coordinator, you are the operational engine behind Turbo’s adult sport leagues and broader programming calendar. You will own coordination end-to-end: registration, scheduling, game-day logistics, participant communications, and the general art of keeping many moving parts from colliding. Because our leagues live in the evenings and weekends, this role is built around those hours — this is a job for someone who is energized by game nights, not drained by them.
This is a one-year contract with a real path to permanent. We want to find the right person, work alongside them, and build something together. The contract is how we do that honestly.
Please note before applying, if you are not willing to work weekends and evenings this job is not for you. It is required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate all aspects of adult sport league operations: team registration, scheduling, standings, draw management, vendor jersey organization, and season administration.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for league participants, team captains, and sport programming partners throughout each season.
- Support the coordination of officiating and referee arrangements in collaboration with league and sport partners (may have to referee to fill in as necessary)
- Manage game-day and event-day operations: space setup and teardown, participant check-in, issue resolution, and post-game logistics.
- Assist in the coordination of Turbo’s broader programming calendar, including studio classes, field bookings, and special programming events.
- Liaise with instructors, coaches, and programming partners to ensure scheduling accuracy and that all sessions are operationally ready.
- Support participant onboarding, registration, and account management through the Xplore/PerfectMind/SportsEngine platform.
- Track and report participation data, program feedback, and operational issues to the Facility Operations Manager and CEO.
- Represent Turbo Sports at community events, partner activations, and facility open days.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of league formats, programming offerings, and participant experience as the facility grows.
- Capture social content and work closely with the marketing team, which can include adult leagues, youth programming, seasonal promotions, founder content, etc.
WHAT YOU BRING
- You actually like sports. Not as a credential — as a thing you live. That matters here.
- 1–3 years in sport programming, recreation coordination, event coordination, or something that taught you how to keep a complex schedule from falling apart.
- Detail-oriented and unflappable — you can manage multiple schedules, multiple stakeholders, and the inevitable last-minute curveball without losing the thread.
- Available for consistent evening and weekend shifts. League nights are the core of this role; flexibility across the week is essential.
- Comfortable with technology and digital platforms. Experience with recreation management software is an asset — we will train you on our system.
- A clear communicator, in writing and in person. Participants will come to you with questions, complaints, and the occasional unreasonable request. You handle all three well.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Playing, coaching, or officiating experience in any sport is a strong asset.
- Team-first. Startup-ready. Not waiting for a complete job description to figure out what needs doing.
- A keen eye for storytelling to support with social media capture
