FRONT-OF-HOUSE TEAM MEMBER
Claudine Kitchen & Bakeshop is a busy, chef-driven breakfast and lunch restaurant committed to excellent food and genuine hospitality. Our Front-of-House Team Members create a welcoming guest experience while working closely with our kitchen, bakery and leadership teams.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive hospitality
- Help guests understand the menu and make selections
- Take accurate in-person, phone and takeout orders
- Operate the point-of-sale system and process payments
- Prepare and serve food and beverages
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen, bakery and other team members
- Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and urgency
- Bus, clean and reset tables
- Restock supplies and maintain clean, organized guest areas
- Complete other reasonable duties needed to support the restaurant

- Basic math and point-of-sale skills
- Valid California Food Handler Card or ability to obtain one within the required timeframe
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Team members must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Frequently bend, reach, twist, stoop, squat and crouch
- Lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Use hands to operate a point-of-sale system, process payments, prepare and carry food and beverages, bus dishes and complete cleaning tasks
- See, hear and communicate sufficiently to safely and accurately perform assigned responsibilities
- Understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Read and accurately enter menu, order and payment information
- Perform basic calculations and handle payments accurately
- Maintain attention, recall information and organize multiple priorities
- Make reasonable decisions and solve routine guest or operational problems
- Work efficiently under pressure and manage frequent interruptions
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members

SCHEDULE
Applicants must be available to work the shifts required for the position, which may include weekends and holidays. Claudine Kitchen & Bakeshop is primarily open for breakfast and lunch.
COMPENSATION
hourly rate, plus applicable tips.
