Assistant Manager**
**
Lead and motivate the front-of-house team during daily café operations, partnering with the Café Manager on hiring, training, and team development.

Responsibilities:

  • Uphold service standards and operating procedures across opening, mid-day, and closing routines
  • Lead by example as a working supervisor — performing FOH duties, delegating tasks, troubleshooting issues, and supporting a positive team culture
  • Support scheduling, inventory, and admin duties, especially in the Café Manager's absence
  • Coach team members and hold them accountable to service and quality standards
  • Build genuine customer relationships and handle feedback professionally
  • Lead barista shifts confidently as needed and during high-volume periods
  • Train and mentor new hires; cover shifts as needed

Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude, reliable attendance, strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Strong barista skills in a high-volume setting
  • Prior leadership experience in hospitality, food service, or retail
  • FoodSafe Level 1 and Serving It Right certification (or willingness to obtain)
