Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for technical support, maintaining company hardware, software, and network systems. You will diagnose and resolve routine technical issues, assist with employee onboarding/offboarding, and ensure our technology infrastructure operates smoothly and securely.
Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Helpdesk Support: Serve as the main point of contact for internal staff resolving hardware, software, and network connectivity issues via ticketing system, email, or in-person.
  • System & Hardware Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, POS systems, and mobile devices.
  • Account Administration: Manage user accounts, permissions, email setups, and access rights in platforms like Active Directory or Microsoft 365.
  • Network & Security Management: Support local network infrastructure (Wi-Fi, routers, firewalls) and run regular security checks and system updates to protect company data.
  • Documentation & Asset Tracking: Maintain accurate technical documentation, keep hardware inventory up-to-date, and track open issues to resolution in helpdesk software.
  • User Onboarding & Training: Guide new hires on technology tools and software applications, providing basic IT orientation.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or 1–3 years of hands-on experience in desktop support/helpdesk roles.
  • Operating Systems: Strong proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Windows OS, macOS, and mobile operating systems (iOS/Android).
  • Networking Concepts: solid understanding of basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Wi-Fi configuration).
  • Ticketing & Remote Tools: Experience using helpdesk ticketing platforms (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk) and remote support software.
  • Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, or equivalent.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong verbal/written communication skills, and a patient, customer-service-oriented mindset.
