Host Responsibilities

  • Greeting every customer with a friendly smile, welcoming them as soon as they walk in the door of the Hot House
  • Seating customers in a timely manner while engaging them in friendly conversation
  • Answering phones and directing calls appropriately
  • Creating and monitor wait lists while providing accurate quotes for wait times during high volume periods
  • Clearing and wiping down tables
  • Performing opening, closing, and running side work for the duration of their shift
  • Ability to think and act quickly in a fast paced environment
  • Communicate guest concerns with a Manager as appropriate
  • Adhere to the Hot House Taverns safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Following restaurant and host specific procedures and protocols including but not limited to, attendance, timeliness, cell phone policy, uniform, etc...
  • Coordinating Curbside Carryout orders
