As A Beyu Barista, you are the frontline in our restaurants, and, most often, your vibe will be the true representation of our dope culture. In addition to preparing customer orders based on our unique menu specifications, you will fulfill customer requests, based on company standards, with consistency and accuracy like only you can. Your Essential Responsibilities Are To:

  • Welcome customers and take them through our ordering process (from educating them on menu items, specials, and promotions, to receiving orders and payments)
  • Prepare, serve and/or package hot and cold beverages, and food items, according to our menu and the customers’ requests
  • Maintain knowledge of menu, recipes, techniques, and adherence to food safety and quality control procedures to improve quality and service
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, well-stocked workspace and dining area
  • Anticipate the needs of our guests and service them before they ask
  • Update signage and displays to visually appeal to customers
  • Keep a positive attitude in every interaction with guests, co-workers, managers, etc.
  • Adhere to company safety, security, and confidentiality of assets
  • Continuously expand your knowledge of food and beverage quality controls, preparation methods, and presentation
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the manager

Qualifications:

  • Passionate self-starter, with a genuinely dope personality
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Motivated by an extremely collaborative and fast-moving environment
  • Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Availability to work around peak times, including lunch, early mornings, weekends, and/or holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift, carry, or handle up to 20 lbs
  • Previous experience as a barista, server, or in a customer service-related position is a major plus, but not required
