Responsibilities 

  • Greeting guests - Welcome guests with a smile and make sure they have a good first impression of the restaurant
  • Seating guests - Find tables for guests and escort them to their seats. Make sure reservations are arranged correctly.
  • Managing wait times - Provide accurate wait times to guests and check on them regularly to make sure they are receiving good service. When a restaurant takes reservations, hosts can better anticipate when tables will turn over
  • Answer phone calls - take orders through the phone.

Skills 

  • Should have good organizational and people skills and be available to work weekend shifts.
