Job Overview

We are seeking professional Servers/ Wait Staff. This is a very important role for us and we rely heavily on our serving staff. They manage the pulse of the dining room and ensure patrons have a memorable dining experience.

  • Prepare room the dining room.
  • Protect the establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
  • Help patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering beverages; suggesting courses, and answering questions about the menu.
  • Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices; identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests.
  • Keep kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.
  • Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen; delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars.
  • Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process.
  • Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
  • Conclude dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant; inviting patrons to return.
  • Obtain payment by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; delivering bill and payment to guest; returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons.

Server / Wait staff is generally offered as a part time restaurant job.
Prior experience as server, waiter, waitress, wait staff, runner, foh, front of the house or other FOH part time restaurant job highly desirable.
Requirements/Responsibilities:

  • Warm and outgoing personality and a passion for food and customer service.
  • Must have a commitment to deliver a unique and memorable guest experience.
  • Punctual, patient, and mindful.
  • Good understanding of Cuban cuisine.
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Great team player.
  • The ability to multitask and work well in a high-volume work environment.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Must have or be able obtain a valid food handler card within the first 30 days.
  • Help keep dining room clean
  • Follow company policies and applicable laws
  • Proficient with cash management
  • Basic computer skills
