Expo / Service Support
Bricolage is a long-established Park Slope neighborhood restaurant known for its Vietnamese-French cuisine and craft cocktails, located in a beautiful artist-designed space.

We are seeking an Expo / Service Support team member who can coordinate communication between the kitchen and dining room, maintain quality control on dishes, and help ensure smooth service throughout the restaurant.
This position is ideal for someone who understands the importance of pacing tickets, coordinating dishes, and maintaining clear communication between the kitchen and dining room during busy service.
Our team works collaboratively across roles, and this position may also expand into serving, hosting, or additional service support responsibilities as needed.
At least 1–2 years restaurant experience required.
NYC full-service restaurant experience strongly preferred.
Previous expo experience is a plus, though we are happy to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- act as liaison between the kitchen and front of house
- manage incoming tickets and communicate clearly with the kitchen
- manage ticket pacing and maintain flow of service during busy periods
- coordinate timing so dishes for each table leave the kitchen together
- ensure all dishes are checked for quality, accuracy, and presentation before leaving the pass
- carefully monitor and verify all allergy and dietary restriction requests, ensuring they are clearly communicated to the kitchen and correctly delivered to the guest.
- communicate 86s, menu changes, and special instructions to the service team
- maintain working knowledge of menu items and ingredients
- assemble, garnish, and pack takeout and delivery orders
- assist with running food to tables when needed
- assist with table and floor maintenance including water service and resetting tables
- stock service items and prepare the pass for service
- follow food safety and allergy protocols
- support team members to ensure a smooth service and positive guest experience
- communicate guest concerns or issues to management
- maintain professional appearance and service standards
- be punctual and able to reliably commute to the restaurant

Salary
$25 – $50+ per hour with tips
